The Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, answering calls, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of support, and you'll be an integral part of our efforts to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

* Answer calls from clients regarding initial and continuing eligibility for income maintenance programs related to medical services

  • Gather, verify, evaluate, and enter necessary social, financial, and medical information into various applications
  • Maintain complete and accurate computerized records of client interactions
  • Perform a variety of diverse tasks while continuing to maintain currency and accuracy of program requirements
  • Ensure timely processing of client inquiries/annual reviews to meet client needs and program mandates
  • Meet or exceed daily standards for performance, accuracy, customer service, and quality

Requirements

* Basic office and computer skills

  • Exceptional communications and customer service skills, including skills in handling client behaviors such as fear, hostility, and aggression
  • Knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles used in the calculation of public assistance benefits
  • High-speed internet, quiet space with a door to safeguard equipment and modem/router to hard wire phone
  • Knowledge of the general provisions, objectives, and philosophy of public assistance programs
  • Ability to multitask and resolve issues when necessary
  • Excellent attendance with no absences during the 6-8 week training period
  • Clean background and ability to pass drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in customer service or a related field

  • Knowledge of public assistance programs and policies
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
