Job Description
As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our online community. You will be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules. This will involve:
- Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines
- Banning users who repeatedly break our rules
- Muting users who have violated our guidelines
- Investigating reports of rule-breaking behavior
- Collaborating with other moderators to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive community atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules
- Delete messages that violate our community guidelines
- Ban users who repeatedly break our rules
- Mute users who have violated our guidelines
- Investigate reports of rule-breaking behavior
- Collaborate with other moderators to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive community atmosphere
- Provide excellent customer service and support to our community members
- Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, and make recommendations for improvements
Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in community management or moderation
- Knowledge of online community guidelines and rules
- Familiarity with conflict resolution and mediation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
