We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workers Compensation team at Mercer Marsh Benefits as a Senior Consultant - Workers Compensation. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the Docklands office.

The Senior Consultant - Workers Compensation will build trust with national corporate clients and stakeholders (internal and external), providing solutions to Workers Compensation and Risk Management challenges while leading a national Client Service team.

We will count on you to:

  • Improve clients’ performance through effective risk mitigation, project managing deliverables, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their executives
  • Offer strategic guidance on national claims management, oversee policy renewals and premium forecasting, and manage insurer relationships to ensure high performance
  • Lead claims review meetings, conduct quality assessments of wage declarations, and perform estimate reviews for ACT, NT, TAS and WA to ensure accurate claim costs
  • Facilitate business planning sessions, participate in renewal strategy meetings, and assist in identifying new business opportunities to support our growth and industry insights
  • Mentor colleagues to assist in professional growth

What you need to have:

  • Solid experience in Workers Compensation Advisory or a closely related role
  • Thorough knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and current market conditions
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
