Senior Software Engineer - React

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in React to join our Associate Experience group within the Intelligent Store Tech (IST) organization at Walmart. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building tools that enable our associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences at checkout lanes.

About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to work on full-stack development using multiple technologies such as React JS, React Native, Java, Spring, Kubernetes, NoSQL, Kafka, and other tools/frameworks. You will identify short- and long-term goals, review and provide feedback on proposed solutions, perform design and code reviews, and develop efficient code to automate repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
• Maintain a focus on Observability and ensure everything can be measured
• Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive success

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack development of highly scalable applications
• Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems
• Passion for reviewing code, expertise with Automation Tools, and strong customer focus
• Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java, Spring Boot
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies
