Coverage Attorney (REMOTE) $130-150k DOE
Seeking a California-licensed associate attorney with coverage experience (excluding bad faith litigation). Ideal candidates will have hands-on coverage experience reviewing claims files, analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters, as well as conducting examinations under oath (EUOs). A strong interest in coverage work and attention to detail are essential.
- Title: Associate Coverage Attorney
- Base: $130-150k (or more depending on experience) + strong quarterly bonus opportunities
- Location: CA REMOTE - WFH Hybrid/Remote flexible (Must be located and bar licensed in CA)
- PTO: Unlimited
- Roles are remote / work from home flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of civil litigation cases with a focus on insurance defense
- Draft, analyze, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
- Advocate for clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, mediations, and trials
- Counsel clients on legal exposure, potential liabilities, and strategic risk management
Qualifications
- JD and active membership in the California State Bar
- 3+ years of Insurance Defense experience
- Minimum 1+ years of Coverage experience required
- Demonstrated success handling Coverage cases within ID
