Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is: $68,000 - $80,000 Job Summary As a Business Intelligence Developer I, the candidate will build content in Looker, our reporting platform. Content will include enterprise-level dashboards and ad-hoc requests. The candidate will also be working with Atlan, the Data Governance platform, helping to organize and define data definitions for the company. Finally, the candidate will be interfacing with business partners throughout the company to understand and solve problems using the data in these tools.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Build new reports as requested by the business using Looker Troubleshoot problems with either LookML or data content in existing Looker reports Work with Data Engineering to identify and resolve any data issues encountered in Looker Gather requirements from business partners for new reports, and work with them to create report designs that are intuitive and fit for purpose Gather data definitions for specific data fields and document those in Atlan Required Skills, Education, Experience: 1-2 Years Experience in BI and a bachelor's degree Core competencies: General understanding of BI tools and how to build clean and functional reports Basic understanding of the principals of data governance Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to find root cause to errors. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss requirements with stakeholders. Secondary competencies: Rudimentary understanding of ANSI SQL Basic understanding of data validation and profiling Familiarity with the basics of programming languages Strong written communication skills and the ability to document your work Physical Requirements Physical activities may occasionally include: Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions. Physical activities may constantly include: Communicating with others to exchange information.
