Frontend Developer (React / Mapbox / Mobile)

We're Outside Digital – a nimble crew of builders crafting sharp, data-heavy apps for industries like agtech, robotics, and logistics. We're on the lookout for a Frontend Developer who knows their way around React and Mapbox, and loves shipping clean, thoughtful products.

This isn’t a corporate gig—we move fast, talk straight, and expect you to own your work. If you’ve built apps in the geospatial, fleet, or mobile space, you’ll feel right at home.

What you'll do:

• Build and ship solid web + mobile features using React, React Native, Mapbox, and modern tooling.

• Own parts of the stack—from UI polish to performance tuning.

• Jump into new projects (and legacy ones) and make them better.

• Collaborate tightly with design + backend to shape user experiences that actually solve real-world problems.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of real-world experience building full-featured apps (React / React Native).
• You’ve worked on data-rich or map-heavy interfaces—think logistics, fleet ops, or similar.
• You’re comfortable in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.

Strong with:

• React.js + TypeScript

• React Native

• Mapbox GL JS

• TanStack Query (React Query)

• Zustand, Wouter, Styled Components

Bonus points if you’ve touched:

• Turf.js, Day.js, Socket.io, Electron.js, Vite, amCharts

• Speak Russian (some of us do - makes async a bit easier)

A few more things:

• Remote-first, async-friendly, and no micro-managing.

• You must live within ±5 hours of Pacific Time (PST) - makes collab way smoother.

• We’ll ask for a quick test assignment to see how you approach real problems.

• Occasional Bay Area meetups, but 95% remote.
