About the position As a Full-Time Store Associate at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the store operates smoothly and provides an exceptional shopping experience for customers. Your primary responsibilities will include merchandising and stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. This position requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as you will work closely with other associates and the store management team to enhance customer satisfaction and store performance. You will be responsible for processing customer purchases efficiently, ensuring that shelves are stocked and merchandise displays are organized and appealing. Providing exceptional customer service is a key aspect of your job, as you will assist customers with their shopping needs and address any inquiries they may have. Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback to management regarding product availability, inventory losses, and any scanning errors that may occur. Participating in inventory counts and monitoring inventory accuracy will also be part of your responsibilities. Adhering to cash handling policies and procedures is critical to minimizing losses, and you will be required to comply with all company policies while maintaining the security and confidentiality of sensitive information. This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stock merchandise, lift products weighing up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical tasks throughout the store. Training will take place at a nearby store until the grand opening of the new location, ensuring that you are well-prepared to meet the expectations of the role. Responsibilities ? Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately. , ? Perform general cleaning duties to maintain store standards. , ? Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly and effectively. , ? Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience. , ? Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with store management. , ? Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, and scanning errors. , ? Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines. , ? Monitor inventory for accuracy and report discrepancies. , ? Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses. , ? Comply with all established company policies and procedures. Requirements ? Must be 18 years of age or older. , ? Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service. , ? Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately. , ? Ability to safely and properly operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. , ? Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards. , ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , ? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. , ? Ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail. , ? Ability to follow instructions and multi-task effectively. , ? Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Nice-to-haves ? High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. , ? Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred. Benefits ? Starting wage of $16.00 per hour. , ?
