Responsibilities
JOB OVERVIEW: ITC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect responsible for maintaining databases by determining structural requirements; developing and installing solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Maintaining moderately complex databases - database architecture and metadata repositories, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods. ? Maintaining database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures and integration of systems through database design. ? Maintaining databases. Performing data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation. ? Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions. ? Developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. ? Reviewing and developing object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: ? Minimum of 5 years' experience in business information systems and data architecture. ? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. ? Demonstraed experience with developing logical and physical data models; taxonomy terms, definitions, and controlled vocabularies; XML and data exchange standards, e.g. NIEM. ? Solid communication skills demonstrated by successful performance within a team environment. DESIRED: ? Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of flood plain management, flood insurance, and mapping and/or ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ? Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
