Apprentice Electrician

At Permian Energy Services we are looking for hard workers who are looking for long term careers, not just another job! As a Permian Energy Services Apprentice Electrician, you will learn to operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs and performing both small and large electrical installations. Our primary customer base consists of Industrial, Commercial and Renewable Energy construction projects. You will be expected to become highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with minimum supervision. This position will be incorporated in our DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program in which you will receive classroom training on the electrical trade weekly (provided at no cost to you!). Extended travel may be required; Permian pays per diem for travel related work. Required Skills, Etc: No electrical experience is necessary for consideration; however a VERY STRONG work ethic and a willingness to learn a new trade is required. Candidates must have a State of Texas Apprentice Electrician license (or willing to obtain) as well as a Texas Driver’s license and a clean driving record. All candidates must be able to pass drug testing and a background check. Potential candidates are required to have a professional appearance and have a general understanding of the following areas: • Safety • Tools • Hard Work Outdoors • Customer service • Commercial installations • Skilled Labor • Equipment In addition to these skills, potential candidates must be physically fit, able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs, and be willing/able to work overtime and weekends if/when required outdoors in a variety of environments. Additional capabilities / experience in the following areas will be considered a plus: • Familiar with NEC code • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training • Other safety training Industries: Commercial, Industrial, Manufacturing, Construction Pay Range: Based on level of experience. (PAY SCALE SET BY DOL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM) A full benefit program is available following completion of introductory period and required minimum waiting times.
