Senior Lead, Global Consumer & Events Program Management

The Community You Will Join: The Airbnb Communications team delivers campaigns that keep Airbnb front of mind, helping to stimulate word-of-mouth and supporting direct traffic to the site. We’re seeking an organized, passionate and versatile team contributor to support a global Comms team that is developing and executing innovative campaigns across our product and pop culture. The Difference You Will Make: This role will proactively manage a variety of global Communications projects and campaigns, with the objective of keeping Airbnb front of mind, stimulating word-of-mouth and driving positive sentiment for the brand. This Senior Lead will be a member of the Consumer & Product Communications team but will work on initiatives across the entire global Communications team. A Typical Day: • Support team operations by building relationships and working closely with cross-functional partners, ranging from Legal to Marketing, to streamline processes, identify and remove blockers • Lead budget planning and management for the global Communications organization and its five main teams • Help operationalize a variety of global projects, campaigns and corresponding budget across the global Communications team • Collaborate and coordinate across the Communications team to track milestones and ensure projects and campaigns are executed on time and to Airbnb’s high standards • Proactively develop solutions, find efficiencies and improve processes across team operations • Manage key external agency partners and third party vendors, including drafting scopes of works, reviewing proposals, executing contracts, submitting purchase orders and managing invoices • Organize, schedule, develop agendas and drive regular meetings with international and cross-functional team members, and as needed with key stakeholders for urgent actionable items • Work effectively within a high-performing team with evolving priorities and rapidly changing timelines • Develop materials including internal Comms reporting, research and strategies • Adaptable project manager, who brings both pragmatism and creative thinking to their daily role • Demonstrate an understanding of Communications Your Expertise: • 10+ years professional experience in Program Management and/or Communications • A passion for travel, pop culture and trends • Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing skills and attention to detail • Proficient at Keynote and Excel • Significant project management experience, including working with and managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders • Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative • The ideal candidate is proactive, engaged, and solution-oriented Your Location: Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will need to be based in San Francisco (Bay Area), California, USA to be able to conduct their work. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
