Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Operator II, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient data into our information system. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing, interpreting, editing, and verifying patient demographics
• Logging onto the computer and entering all appropriate requisition data in an accurate and efficient manner
• Using all inquiry functions on the computerized terminal (CRT)
• Reviewing data entered into the system to ensure its accuracy and completeness
• Microfilming requisitions to provide documentation retrieval for error audits
• Filing requisitions according to department specifications
• Maintaining a neat and orderly workstation and area immediately surrounding the workstation
• Consistently keying a minimum of 500 requisitions per shift
• Keeping up to date on all new procedure changes and clients with special keying requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 1-3 years of experience in data entry or a related field
• 1 year prior CRT experience is required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to maintain composure while managing multiple tasks
• Adaptability to change and ability to grasp information and make accurate decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
• Concentration on task/details and ability to examine and observe details

Physical and Mental Requirements

As a Data Entry Operator II, you will need to:

• Lift light to moderately heavy objects
• Lifting and carrying objects with a weight range of 1 to 15 pounds
• Sit or stand for long periods of time; requires long hours of eye and hand coordination
• Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day
• Extensive use of phone and PC
• Typing/Data entry
