Cloud Security Specialist - IT | Remote (Hybrid)

Job Overview Join our innovative Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team as an IT Cloud Security Specialist, where your expertise in cloud security will play a crucial role in shaping secure, resilient cloud environments. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with in-office collaboration in San Jose, CA. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary security liaison for the CCoE team in the United States. • Collaborate effectively with regional security and risk management teams to uphold security compliance. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Cloud Security Framework. • Formulate and implement cloud security standards, policies, and procedures. • Evaluate cloud workloads to ensure compliance with security regulations and propose risk mitigation strategies. • Offer security proficiency for cloud-based applications, operating systems, and network infrastructure. • Assist in the security incident response efforts concerning cloud systems. • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices within cloud solutions. Required Skills • Deep-rooted passion for cloud security, SecDevOps, and AI technologies. • Proficient in working autonomously, taking initiative, and driving projects to completion. • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of engaging with engineers, executives, and senior management. • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving capabilities. • Adaptability to work across various time zones in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a similar field. • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security, particularly focusing on cloud security (IaaS/PaaS). • Demonstrated experience with cloud security frameworks, risk assessments, and security policies. • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies within a security context. • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous. • Previous experience within large, multinational organizations is preferred.
