About the job: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced UPS Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated and results-driven professional to contribute to our rapidly growing organization. As a UPS Field Service Engineer, you will work at the forefront of power technology, utilizing your skills and experience in UPS, power distribution units, and power systems maintenance. You will play a pivotal role in providing technical support to our customers, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. Responsibilities: • Provide on-site technical support for uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on UPS systems and power distribution units to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently. • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process. • Provide feedback to the product development team on potential product improvements or new product opportunities based on customer feedback or market trends. • Train customers and end-users on the proper use and maintenance of our products. • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitor products. Qualifications: • Technical degree in electronics related field or Military electronics technical training. • 5+ years’ experience in this field and ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU’s / Power Distribution Units, Static Automatic Transfer Switches, Branch Circuit Monitoring, and other electrical equipment. • Extensive knowledge and experience in UPS systems, power distribution units, and power systems maintenance. • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. • Outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently. • Willingness to travel 60% with extended overnight stays as required to meet customer needs and business objectives. • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
