Role Overview As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will own critical accounting processes, support FP&A activities, and collaborate across teams to improve operations as our business grows. You’ll be a trusted partner to multiple stakeholders, leveraging your skills and intellectual curiosity to make meaningful contributions to Nametag’s success. Key Responsibilities: • Month-End Close Cycle: • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of general journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly analytics. • Oversee month-end accrual processes for all functional areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Accounting and Controls: • Own specific close processes and implement accounting controls to achieve a GAAP-compliant close. • Research and apply revenue accounting principles to complex transactions. • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies across the organization. • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): • Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through financial analytics. • Cross-Functional Support: • Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other areas to provide accounting and finance support. • Partner with teams to implement and maintain scalable processes, policies, and controls. • Audit and Compliance: • Support internal and external audits by preparing key information and documentation. • Maintain relationships with third-party payroll providers and public accounting firms. • Process Improvement: • Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to support scalability as the company grows. • Assist with ERP and other system implementations to enhance operational efficiency. • Special Projects: • Lead or participate in ad hoc projects to support the evolving needs of the business. Qualifications: • Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, including month/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations. • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • SaaS Experience: Experience in a SaaS company is highly preferred. • Technical Skills: • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs). • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Flexibility: Ability to work across different time zones with team members in various locations.
