Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous Item Processing Assistant to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the operational efficiency of our esteemed financial institution. Key Responsibilities • Process a range of check processing activities, utilizing channels such as Remote Deposit Capture and Branch Capture. • Reconcile and address out-of-balance transactions, implementing necessary adjustments to uphold accuracy. • Enter and reconcile electronic cash letter files while verifying computer output related to electronic transactions. • Provide support to both internal and external customers regarding check-related inquiries through phone and written communication. • Maintain compliance by performing all duties according to established procedures and guidelines. • Collaborate with colleagues by contributing to departmental reports and assisting other departments as required. Required Skills • A minimum of one year of experience in Bank Operations or Retail Banking is preferred. • Proficient in word processing, database management, and spreadsheet applications. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with customers and team members. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing tasks. • Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
