Skills • Strong working knowledge of accounting software, especially Intacct • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G-Suite) • Excellent project management and organizational skills • High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks • Strong bookkeeping and financial management skills • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently in a remote environment Responsibilities • Manage vendor maintenance, process W9 forms, and ensure timely accounts payable processing • Ensure proper crediting of scholarship payments to student accounts • Handle invoicing, track past-due reports, and manage collections for accounts receivable • Process incoming payments into the accounting system (Intacct) • Issue donor tax acknowledgment letters and ensure compliance with tax regulations • Reconcile bank and credit card statements • Process all staff expense reports, handle reimbursements, and file receipts • Oversee control and distribution of in-kind donations and inventory • Assist with other tasks as directed by the Director of Finance & HR or CEO Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in accounting or finance • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting • Experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus, but not mandatory • Proficiency with Sage Intacct accounting software is strongly desired Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree Experience Requirements • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting • Experience in nonprofit accounting is advantageous but not mandatory Why work in Phoenix, AZ Phoenix offers a vibrant atmosphere with a rich cultural scene, a warm climate, and a growing job market.
