Audit Senior - Remote Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our team remotely in Chicago. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality services to our clients. This position involves working closely with clients to assess risks, prepare financial statements, and lead audit teams while fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities • Manage and execute audit engagements from planning to completion. • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. • Conduct risk assessments and develop audit strategies. • Supervise and mentor junior staff during the audit process. • Review work papers and ensure compliance with professional standards. • Prepare management letters and communicate findings to clients. • Assist in tax compliance and advisory services. • Engage in business development activities to expand client base. • Conduct research on accounting and auditing issues as needed. • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through excellent service. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. • CPA certification is required. • Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit. • Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards. • Experience in tax preparation and compliance is a plus. • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior staff. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficient in accounting software and audit tools. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
