Job Description
The primary responsibility of a NORTHIRON Campus Worship Leader is to recruit, train, and develop a volunteer live music team to serve at his or her respective Campus for Sunday services, and other special events throughout the calendar year. Campus worship leaders report directly to, and work with the church's Worship Director, as well as the Campus Pastor and Lead Pastor. Objectives of the role Objectives include actively seeking opportunities to connect with, and develop personal relationships with members of the local congregation and surrounding community, to identify those with music talent who wish to serve in the local church. Others include actively developing Pastoral leadership capacity for the purpose of discipleship, and continued development of music skill and vocal ability to create high quality and engaging worship services. Daily & Monthly Responsibilities Scheduling team members for Sunday services Building weekly multitrack sets in Ableton Live software program (training available) Rehearsing weekly songs, and helping team members develop rehearsal skills Host mid-week rehearsals (if necessary) for a season to develop a core team Actively seek opportunities to spend time with team members to develop relationships Lead Sunday service rehearsal, and worship at Sunday service Lead, and / or participate as worship team member at occasional special events such as Worship & Prayer Nights (quarterly), Celebrate Recovery Testimonies, Youth events, etc. Skills & Qualifications Ability to develop relationships with team members, lead team Pastorally, and actively recruit and train volunteers to become a well-functioning music ministry. Ability to play at least one leading instrument (ex. Guitar, piano) to a metronome in time, in tune, creating a good tone, and also help guide and direct other musicians. Ability to sing in a contemporary worship style and develop quality vocal arrangements with other singers. Ability to learn music and presentation software programs Ableton Live, and ProPresenter, as well as use programs weekly to create production assets for live performances. Salary & Benefits Campus Worship Leader positions are full-time (part time available if circumstances allow), paying a respectable salary based on an applicants overall experience level, Pastoral leadership ability, and musical giftings.
