Night time tow dispatch

This a contract fully remote hours are 7pm-4am central standard time... Requires attention but is very simplistic. Could be done watching a movie for example. Tow company dispatch is nice to have Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatcher to join our team for a towing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of freight across our transportation network. This is a critical role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and manage complex transportation data. The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management, and have a strong understanding of supply chain management. Responsibilities: - Utilize phone systems and phone etiquette to coordinate with drivers, shippers, and receivers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods. - Analyze and manage shipment data to optimize routes and reduce costs. - Manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are properly maintained and in good working order. - Utilize GIS mapping technology to track shipments and identify potential issues with routes. - Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure that freight is delivered on time and in the correct condition. - Use transportation management systems to manage and track shipments, and to optimize routes and reduce costs. - Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. - Coordinate with the shipping and receiving teams to ensure that shipments are properly loaded and unloaded. - Conduct regular fleet checks to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and in good working order. Experience: The successful candidate will have experience in a transportation or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of transportation management systems and supply chain management. They will also have experience with phone systems and phone etiquette, and will have a strong analytical background. Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management is highly desirable, as is experience with fleet management and GIS mapping technology.
