Contract CDL Driver Filmwerks, LLC... About Us: At Filmwerks, we design, build, and transport custom sets for major sports broadcasts, news, music, and various other events. A few of our clients include FOX Sports, Disney, Amazon, NFL, MLB, and Formula 1. We provide creative structures and scenic solutions and transport our goods to stadiums, racetracks, and concert venues nationwide. Over the years, we have evolved to support not only temporary but permanent and semi-permanent projects, helping our partners build their dreams behind the scenes. Supervision Exercised/Received: Supervision and direction is provided by the Logistic Manager. This position has no direct reports. When onsite direction can be taken from Project Manager/ Lead Technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL drivers license. - Retain comprehensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. - Adhere to DOT and Filmwerks policies and regulations. - Utilize electronic logging device app - MOTIVE. - Successfully complete a background check, including criminal records history, motor vehicle report, and a pre-employment drug test. - Participate in quarterly random drug tests as per DOT regulations. - Exhibit a flexible attitude and be able to adapt quickly to changing information. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any incidents, injuries, or mechanical issues. - Represent Filmwerks professionally and respectfully in all interactions. - Independently arrange lodging while on the road as needed. - Schedule drives to ensure punctual arrivals. - Maintain effective communication via phone, text, and email. - Coordinate tire replacements and manage breakdowns using Goodyear FW account and MHC services. - Must obtain workers compensation insurance Physical Demands/Requirements: - Sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. - Ability to ascend and descend staircases. - Willingness to travel domestically if required. - Assist technicians with loading and unloading materials and strapping gear to trailers. Compensation: - Driver will submit an invoice for work - Cab Sleeping Bonus: $50 per night if the driver forgoes hotel accommodations and sleeps in the tractor cab.
