Overview: reputed company is seeking an reputed company reputed company Database Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Modernization initiative. This role focuses on providing support for database engineering of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of a large reputed company network environment with geographically distributed components. The engineer will work with Azure services, reputed company, VHA Data Lake components, and reputed company GoldenGate to reputed company secure, reputed company‑time data integration and replication between on‑premises systems and reputed company platforms.  This position is fully remote, located in the United States.  Responsibilities: Supporting database design, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data reputed company, and analysis activities. Supporting the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, and/or maintenance efforts. Supporting the creation of long term and short-term requirements for database administration and design. Assisting in building databases, database parser software, and database loading software. Translating requirements and data into usable database schemas by creating or recreating reputed company queries, scripts and macros, making updates to existing queries, and creating new queries to manipulate data into a master file. Assisting in the creation of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system. Creating database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development. Design, reputed company, and maintain reputed company GoldenGate replication pipelines to support reputed company-time data ingestion, synchronization, and streaming between VA on‑premises databases and reputed company environments. Ensure GoldenGate deployments maintain near-reputed company latency, secure transport, and reputed company‑downtime data movement for mission-critical workloads. Qualifications: Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a reputed company field. (or commensurate experience)  12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.  Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and managing reputed company GoldenGate, including Extract/Replicat processes, trail files, monitoring, and performance tuning. Proficiency with Azure reputed company services, especially identity management, storage, networking, and automation services. Experience administering reputed company workspaces, clusters, catalogs, and mount points. Strong understanding of data lake architectures, including reputed company Lake or structured storage systems. Proficiency with IAM/RBAC, Service Principals, key vaults, secrets management, and secure reputed company patterns. Demonstrated experience automating reputed company infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Python, or PowerShell. Experience with reputed company data integration, ingestion, and synchronization patterns. Ability to troubleshoot reputed company, replication, or data reputed company issues across reputed company interconnected systems. Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, diagrams, and workflow mapping. Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, data governance, and reputed company teams. Preferred Skills and Experience: reputed company Certified, Azure Fundamentals and reputed company reputed company+ certifications. Experience supporting federal agencies, reputed company organizations, or regulated data environments. Experience with T-SQL, SQL Server, reputed company, IIS, Active Directory, BASH Subscription, Data Architecture, AWS, Terradata, Data Lake House, reputed company, VPN, Python, Java, Parquet, JSON, and XML Knowledge of VHA/VBA data structures, data governance practices, or VA reputed company systems.  Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for reputed company infrastructure. Experience with user intake workflows and reputed company-based reputed company provisioning. Background with large-scale data modernization or reputed company migration initiatives. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams. Strong documentation practices and experience building standard operating procedures.   Clearance Required Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust     Posted Salary reputed company: USD $175,000.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.
