What You'll Do as a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex

This isn't a role for order-takers or script-readers. We are looking for confident, agile, and empathetic communicators who thrive on engaging directly with customers, thinking critically in real time, and delivering solutions that genuinely matter. As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll handle a wide variety of customer inquiries with warmth, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging Directly with Pet Parents: Connect with customers via phone to assist with everything from helping them select the perfect product for a new puppy, kitten, or exotic pet, to recommending the ideal chew toy for an aggressive chewer, to resolving concerns when an order doesn't arrive as expected.
  • Researching and Problem-Solving: Investigate customer issues thoroughly using multiple systems and resources, identify root causes, and determine appropriate solutions. You'll think proactively, set timely follow-ups when needed, and ensure complete contact resolution from start to finish.
  • Delivering Empathetic Service: Operate with understanding, active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness in every interaction with both customers and fellow team members. The pet community is deeply emotional, and your ability to meet people where they are will define your success.

What You'll Need to Succeed

arenaflex is seeking motivated, resourceful, and emotionally intelligent individuals who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced remote environment. The following qualifications are required for consideration:

  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in a phone-based, retail, hospitality, or e-commerce setting.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and listening—demonstrated through a written assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively: maintain a natural conversation on the phone while simultaneously navigating computer systems, taking accurate notes, and researching solutions in real time.
  • Proficiency with computers, including fast and accurate data entry, rapid navigation across multiple systems and browser tabs, and confident use of search tools to locate information quickly.
  • Comfort with change and adaptability: the ability to shift gears quickly as business needs evolve and new products, policies, or tools are introduced.
  • Schedule flexibility: availability to shift schedules when needed and work occasional overtime as required by business demand.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information securely at all times.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.
  • A genuine love for pets is a strong plus, though not mandatory. Passion for helping people is what truly matters.

Technical and Home Office Requirements

Because this is a remote position, your home environment must meet certain technical and ergonomic standards to ensure both your productivity and an excellent customer experience:

  • A dedicated work area large enough to accommodate dual computer monitors and free from distractions, including ambient background noise that could interfere with customer calls.
  • A workspace that is visually appropriate for webcam use during team meetings and virtual collaboration sessions.
  • A reliable wired, high-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. Candidates must verify their speeds via speedtest.net or their internet service provider before applying.
  • arenaflex will provide all essential equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam at no cost to you.
  • A cell phone or tablet capable of running the Okta Verify mobile app or receiving SMS messages and phone calls for two-factor authentication. A traditional landline is not required.
