Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Missouri University of Science and Technology is seeking a Senior Admissions Counselor to lead recruitment efforts in Florida. The role involves representing the university at recruitment events, advising prospective students, and managing recruitment territory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Represent the university at various recruitment events
• Promote Missouri S&T to students, families, and high school contacts through in-person presentations and virtual events
• Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life
• Travel within your assigned territory for recruitment, including evening and weekend travel
• Provide a prompt review of admission applications for students within assigned territory
• Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school contacts, and campus and community partners
• Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students
• Coordinate special recruitment events on-campus and off-campus with various stakeholders (current students, staff and faculty, alumni volunteers) to promote the university
• Utilize computer database to update student and high school records and log communications
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
• Experience in student recruitment, territory management, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional fields
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate, high comfort level with technology and the ability to analyze and present data effectively
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and proven ability to work autonomously within a collaborative remote team setting
