Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a bilingual representative, you'll be fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong ability to communicate complex healthcare information in a clear and concise manner. You'll be responsible for answering inbound inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering and managing inbound inquiries regarding health plan benefits, claims, eligibility, and other healthcare-related topics
- Conducting outbound and return calls to customers as necessary, providing timely and effective support
- Asking appropriate questions, listening actively, and providing personalized support to customers, documenting relevant information in our computer systems
- Communicating and partnering with customers tactfully and empathetically, resolving issues and applying conflict management skills as needed
- Meeting performance goals in efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction, and attendance, adhering to all applicable policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- To reside in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC
- To be bilingual in Spanish and English (validated via bilingual assessment upon offer acceptance)
- At least 1 year of call center experience required
- Ability to handle a heavy call volume of 50-100 calls daily
- Demonstrated ability to use computer and Windows PC applications, with strong keyboard and navigation skills
- Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
