Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Greeting customers and providing a warm welcome to our store
- Operating the register, handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Making purchase suggestions and offering personalized recommendations to customers
- Working with our food program to provide a seamless shopping experience
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, both inside and out
- Providing fast and friendly service to customers, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Interacting with customers daily, building relationships, and understanding their needs
- Collaborating with the sales team to achieve daily sales goals and targets
- Participating in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience
- Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up-to-date on promotions and sales
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail and customer service experience, preferably in a sales associate or cashiering role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job
Preferred Qualifications
* Retail and sales experience, preferably in a convenience store or similar environment
- Experience working with a point-of-sale system and handling cash and credit transactions
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and make change accurately
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on sales and marketing
