Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate I, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers with questions, recommendations, and concerns in a professional and friendly manner
  • Managing sales transactions, operating cash registers, and maintaining accurate records
  • Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets
  • Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and ensuring a positive shopping environment
  • Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and replenishing stock in accordance with productivity standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe store environment, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and enhance the overall shopping experience
  • Participating in visual merchandising, inventory management, and other store-related activities as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions, interpret operational documents, and work independently
  • Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height, and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar retail environment
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and visual merchandising
  • Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management software
  • Certification in customer service, sales, or a related field
