Responsibilities
As a Lead Processing Agent, you will be responsible for managing inbound referrals, data entry, and communication with patients, providers, and internal colleagues. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage Inbound Referrals: Receive and process priority referrals from healthcare provider offices via email, web portals, and faxes. Enter referrals into our systems for team members to review and act upon.
- Data Entry: Perform error-free data entry of demographics, insurance, condition information, and other relevant details.
- Prompt Notification: Notify Provider Success Coordinators upon receiving referrals to ensure timely follow-up and action.
- Medical Record Review: Review medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Answer Calls: Respond to inbound patient and provider phone calls, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and genuine care for our patients.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal colleagues via instant messaging, email, and phone calls.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Prior Experience: Proven experience working in a medical office or a healthcare startup.
- Insurance Verification: Prior experience in insurance verification is preferred.
- Medical Record Management: Prior experience in medical record management or collection is preferred.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, including email, Slack, and phone communication.
- Google Suite Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets).
- Teamwork Attitude: A collaborative and teamwork-oriented attitude is essential.
