Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Evening Specimen Processor - Data Entry - Part-Time to join our team in Houston, TX. As a vital part of our patient care process, you'll be responsible for ensuring laboratory specimens are properly received and routed for testing. If you're detail-oriented, have great typing skills, and a sense of urgency, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

As an Evening Specimen Processor - Data Entry - Part-Time, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are properly received and routed for testing.
• Data entering lab requests, double-checking test orders, and recognizing when corrective action is needed.
• Working in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Championing safety, compliance, and quality control.
• Helping patients without being face-to-face!

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Typing proficiency, including 10-key
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing

• Data entry experience in a production environment
