Role Overview

As an Experienced Senior Assistant Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. You'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the day-to-day store operations, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment for customers and employees. You'll also act as a leader on the store team, coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Store Manager in hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating store team members

  • Provide excellent customer service and lead by example in creating a positive shopping experience for each customer
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure products are displayed in a professional and visually appealing manner
  • Ensure a clean and safe shopping environment for customers and employees by maintaining store standards
  • Monitor sales performance and implements strategies to achieve store goals
  • Communicate with the Store Manager to ensure all store operations are running smoothly
  • Act as the Store Manager in their absence

Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3+ years of retail management experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform effective problem-solving
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Passionate about the Hobby Lobby brand and the products we sell

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures
  • Experience with sales analysis and reporting, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and use new software and systems quickly and effectively
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working in a distributed team
