Golf Maintenance II
Naperville Park District is seeking a Golf Maintenance II to assist in the upkeep of the golf course and clubhouse grounds. The role involves routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, and operating maintenance equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain golf course areas, sand bunkers, and ornamental beds, shrubs, and trees, including but not limited to mowing, weeding, planting and watering, mulching, and pruning
- Operate and maintain golf course mowers, small maintenance vehicles, and power equipment
- Collect garbage, litter pickup, and cleaning of bathroom facilities
- Provide support to special projects
- Demonstrate and support District customer service standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Knowledge or ability to perform basic landscape tasks or use maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently in day-to-day operations with general direction from supervisor
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 50 lbs on a weekly basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and strength to operate power-operated equipment and machines
- Exposure to pesticides, chemicals, dust, fumes, dirt, loud noise, and insect bites
- Prolonged lifting, stooping, bending, twisting, and standing
- Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
