Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical methods to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions. You will work closely with our content team to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth, and develop data-driven strategies to drive engagement and retention. Key Responsibilities
* Apply advanced data analysis methods (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions
- Investigate client behavior (e.g., content preferences, viewing patterns) to identify untapped client needs and undiscovered content opportunities
- Develop predictive models to forecast content engagement and inform acquisition decisions
- Collaborate with our content team to develop and refine our content launch and episode release strategies
- Test and optimize marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention
- Develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both strategic and tactical decision-making
- Provide specialized analytical support to partners to drive business growth
- Effectively communicate key findings and insights through compelling data storytelling across the organization
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the entertainment industry
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R or Python
- Experience with statistical analysis and AI techniques, including decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
- Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems
- Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Strong understanding of media and entertainment industry trends and challenges
