Responsibilities

As a Benefits Representative/Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling inbound and outbound customer calls regarding benefit-related questions and concerns, providing accurate information and explanations about available benefits and coverage options
  • Assisting customers in understanding and navigating their benefit plans, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Maintaining and updating customer records and information in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure excellent customer service and support, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation
  • Resolving customer complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner, demonstrating empathy and a customer-centric approach
  • Providing exceptional support and guidance to customers, empowering them to make informed decisions about their benefits and coverage options

Requirements

To succeed as a Benefits Representative/Customer Service Agent, you will need:

  • Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a benefits or insurance-related role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to diverse communication styles
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment, with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software, including CRM platforms and other relevant tools
