Role Description
Mercor is seeking Mathematics Experts for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. In this role, you will contribute your subject matter expertise to a cutting-edge project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Specifically, you will help create high-quality data that will inform the future of AI innovation by coming up with difficult problems in your domain.
Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Applied and/or Pure Maths from a top US, UK, Australian, NZ or Canadian university
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in English
Requirements
- Flexible workload: must be able to contribute 20+ hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours
- Fully remote and asynchronous - work on your own schedule
- Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension
Role Start Date
- This role will begin in early to mid-August with applications reviewed on a rolling basis
Interview Process
- You will need to complete a short interview of around 20 mins to complete your application
Compensation and Legal Details
- You will be legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
- We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect
