About the Role

As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our digital databases. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and maintaining spreadsheets to track client information and orders, transferring data from hard copy to digital databases, updating client information, and organizing existing data in spreadsheets. You'll also be responsible for double-checking your work to ensure that data is inputted correctly, which requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

* Create and maintain spreadsheets to track important client information and orders, ensuring that data is up-to-date and accurate.

  • Transfer data from hard copy to digital databases, utilizing your knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Update client information in a database, ensuring that all relevant details are accurate and complete.
  • Organize existing data in a spreadsheet, using your analytical skills to identify patterns and trends.
  • Transfer data from a hard copy to a digital database to records, ensuring that all information is accurately captured and stored.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve any data-related issues or discrepancies, providing solutions and recommendations to improve data management processes.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in data entry, database management, and customer service.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices.

  • Accurate typing skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.), with the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, including printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
  • Basic understanding of databases, including data structures, data types, and data relationships.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Great attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science.

* Experience working with cloud-based databases and data management software.

  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
