Key Responsibilities

• Assist and guide active students throughout their program, ensuring timely completion of financial aid requirements and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Review financial aid applications for accuracy, package eligible aid, and ensure disbursement in a timely manner.
• Support students in managing additional financing options, including state aid, workforce agencies, employer payments, and VA benefits.
• Create payment arrangements on term balances to support campus cash collections and track completion of Exit Counseling.
• Provide continued support and education to students and their parents on topics related to Financial Aid, including Title IV Federal Financial Aid, eligibility, financial literacy, and loan repayment.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and student information, adhering to guidelines set by regulatory bodies such as FERPA and the Department of Education.
• Stay up-to-date with college policies, processes, and relevant accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree, with equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional support to students.
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to secure access to Department of Education websites.
• No prior history of student loan default.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Federal Financial Aid programs.
• Experience working with customer financial accounts.
