About the Role: Regional Marketing Manager

We're seeking an exceptional Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) to join our team in the Chicago, IL area. As an RMM, you will be responsible for driving Liquid Death brand awareness and trial through retail promotions, sampling, and event sales in assigned priority and secondary markets. You will work closely with our sales team and distributor partners to implement brand experiences across local events, partnerships, and activations, increasing target customer awareness and building deeper connections with our most valuable distributor partners. This is a remote role reporting directly to the Director, Field Marketing on the Experiential Marketing team, requiring a home base in the Chicago, IL area and the ability to drive within the surrounding region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the unique challenges of priority and secondary markets and adapt national marketing plans to drive sales at retail and events
  • Negotiate, execute, and evaluate partnership and sampling opportunities across local events, festivals, and venues
  • Increase brand awareness and drive trial by securing on-brand, local sampling opportunities
  • Collaborate with regional high-volume distributors to maximize distributor investment, alignment, and retail execution
  • Generate partnership leads across local events, festivals, venues, and on-premise
  • Manage local budget and expenses, adhering to corporate fiscal guidelines and policies
  • Monitor competitors, identify market nuances, and report relevant activity and information
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A unique enthusiasm for life, represented by a passion for cultural experiences across action sports, street art, music, hip-hop/rap, punk/rock, and nightlife
  • Mandatory knowledge and experience negotiating sponsorship agreements with the ability to measure ROI
  • Strong local connections to the market are preferred
  • Ability to anticipate and solve logistical challenges before they occur
  • High sense of urgency, great attitude, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and work within ambiguity and high-pressure situations
  • Experience leading and managing brand ambassadors
  • Creative mind and prior successes in driving the creative process

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in grassroots marketing and/or sales merchandising, with prior experience in CPG preferred
  • Live in the Chicago, IL area
  • Bachelor's Degree

Physical Requirements:

The role requires:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Lifting product cases and event supplies
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Valid driver's license with access to a registered vehicle (vehicle stipend and fuel card will be provided until a company car is given)

At Liquid Death, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $98,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and location.
