Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at our remote facility, where you will work on a 50-bed Mental Health Recovery Adult unit. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including the ability to assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with our clinical team. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement patient care plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Conduct physical and mental assessments of patients, identifying areas of concern and developing strategies to address these needs
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education, support, and guidance throughout the treatment process
  • Administer medication, monitoring patients for potential side effects and adjusting treatment plans as necessary

Education and Training Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or be willing to pursue this qualification. You must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing in the state of employment, with a license in good standing. Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification, or the ability to obtain this certification within 30 days of hire
  • Formal training in the management of aggressive patients, or the ability to complete this training within 60 days of hire
  • Previous psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults is preferred, although not essential
  • At the Hospital's discretion, you may be required to hold a Qualified Medical Professional (QMP) designation, which involves an annual evaluation and potential renewal
