About the Role
As a Product Development Manager, you'll lead and foster a high-performing ACK design team, comprising equipment, firmware, APIs, SDKs, applications, and tasks, to deliver every aspect of the product. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, senior leaders, and designers, as well as Business Development and clients themselves, to create the technical vision and execution tools for the team while delivering solutions to improve the manufacturing processes for IoT device makers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a dynamic and full-stack team, including Quality Assurance Specialists and Support Designers
- Experience with gadget firmware, IoT device SDKs, or similar experience is highly desirable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and Business Development
- Develop and execute technical strategies to drive innovation and improve product quality
- Work closely with clients to gather requirements, define product features, and develop technical plans
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers to improve their skills and productivity
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including coding guidelines, code audits, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
Essential Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in product development, with a focus on full-stack solutions
- 3+ years of experience in team management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
- 3+ years of experience in driving the definition and development of multi-tier web services
- Strong understanding of software development practices and principles, including coding guidelines, code audits, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
- Experience working with product or program management teams
- Experience in planning or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, scalability, and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in communicating with clients, other technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, define product features, and develop technical plans
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing teams of engineers to improve their skills and productivity
- Strong understanding of IoT device development, including firmware, SDKs, and device management
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
