Title: Network Engineer Location: Remote, Occasional Travel to Newark, NJ required (Expenses will be paid) BGC: Must pass a High public security clearance C2C/W2
Required Skills: * Hardware: Cisco Nexus 3000/7000 Series, Arista 7150s/7124/7050,7010, MetamakoMetaConnect/MetaMux/MetaApp, Cisco Catalyst Routers/Switches * Network Protocols: RIP, RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MULTICAST, PIM, IGMP, MSDP, vPC, MLAG, VTP, DMVPN, SNMP, SNMPv3, HSRP, VRRP, STP, Port-channel, SPAN, Sflow, NetFlow, NTP, PTP * Security Technologies: AAA, IPS/IDS, TACACS+, RADIUS, SSH, ACL, PVLAN, Fortinet Firewall, VPN, Tunneling, NAT * Network Monitoring Tools: Nagios, MRTG, Cacti, Graylog, Wireshark, TCPdump * Programming Languages: Python, Visual Basic, Shell, Ansible * Operating Systems: Linux, Windows * Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco Nexus 9K switches, 9200 switches, 4300 and 4200 series routers in an enterprise network environment. * Perform circuit upgrades including troubleshooting with carriers, validating turn-up, and updating routing/switching configurations. * Add and provision new servers to the network by configuring VLANs, trunk/access ports, and validating connectivity. * Perform Lifecycle Replacement (LCP) of network devices including hardware swaps, configuration migration, and post-install validation. * Expand network infrastructure by integrating new devices into existing topology, ensuring scalability and proper documentation. * Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to routing, switching, and connectivity across LAN/WAN environments. * Collaborate with data center and server teams to support infrastructure growth and network expansion projects. * Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and inventory for all deployed network equipment.
