As the Governance Platform Steward, you will play a pivotal role in enabling and supporting users, ensuring our governance platform is user-oriented and fit for purpose. You will manage concierge-style onboarding and training to accelerate user adoption, actively research user needs in evolving programs and capabilities and advocate to ensure platforms and tools are tailored for optimal use. Your proactive approach in defining the platform's intended use, features, and ownership will enhance user operations and ensure seamless integration between other tools and capabilities. This role includes a hybrid work schedule for candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, or Seattle, WA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Concierge-Style Onboarding: Manage onboarding and training processes to accelerate user adoption and ensure seamless access to our governance tools.
  • User Advocacy: Actively research and understand stakeholder needs within evolving programs and capabilities advocating on their behalf for fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Platform Monitoring and Management: Define the intended use, features, and user ownership of tools, while monitoring platform health and promoting optimal performance
  • Fast Iteration Solutions: Provide quick and effective solutions for data stewards and data stakeholders enhance their operations continuously
  • Support Coordination: Bridge the gap between users and IT providers, enabling effective and responsible content usage, consistent with governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; advanced degrees are highly regarded.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in governance tools or related fields.
  • Proven ability in delivering user support, creating training materials, and ensuring platform compliance.
  • Skilled in performance analysis and optimizing governance platforms for enhanced user experiences.
  • Relevant certifications in data governance and user advocacy are beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Experience in communicating recommendations to senior business leaders preferred
  • BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience working in coding and data solutions design principles, particularly in open source tools and technology

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
