Senior Director, Digital Technology & Engineering (Ovia Health)

Ovia Health, a Labcorp company, is the leading digital health companion for women across their entire health journey, from general and preventive health through perimenopause and menopause. This role will be a dynamic leader who drives technological innovation and leads our team to deliver high-quality products in a healthcare environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to advance our vision as a leader in women’s health. This position is open to remote work within the United States. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina area and are open to a hybrid work schedule based out of our RTP office. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy and vision that aligns with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of new products and features.
  • Ensure the company's technology infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Work closely with other stakeholder departments, including Product, Marketing, and Sales, to ensure alignment and support for technology initiatives.
  • Communicate technological strategies and developments to stakeholders, including the executive team, investors, and customers.
  • Innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
  • Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Instill a strong culture of security and compliance and ensure technology practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on technology performance, risk and innovation opportunities
  • Speak with customers and prospective clients about our technology capabilities and roadmap

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with an extensive background in engineering management.
  • Deep understanding of software development, systems architecture, cloud technologies and mobile application development.
  • Broad knowledge of PHP, Javascript, SQL, AWS, native mobile app development and marketing technology platforms
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams.
  • Ability to develop and execute a technology strategy that supports business goals.
  • Expertise with cloud technologies, storage systems, APIs, platforms, and system architecture
  • Experience with research principles, statistical methods, extremely large data and data science approaches
  • Capability to articulate our technology platform and strategy to external clients and potential customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of security controls and practices, specifically as they apply to HIPAA, HITRUST and SOC2
  • Passion for innovation and staying up to date with the latest technologies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry and understanding of its technological landscape.
  • MBA or other advanced degree in a technology-related field..
  • Experience working with international teams and managing global projects.

Application Window: Application window will close on July 16 , 2025. Pay Range $210,000 - $230,000 annually + bonus and equity eligibility (see below). All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers. Compensation may also include discretionary short- and long-term incentive packages. Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
