The Sr Data Engineer designs and develops data architectures in cloud and hybrid platforms. The Sr Data Engineer collaborates with Data Engineers on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions. This role mentors other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets. A data engineer on a Master Data Management (MDM) team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines and architecture that support the management of master data across the organization. This role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data consistency, quality, and integration across various platforms. Key responsibilities include extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data, implementing data validation and error-checking processes, creating data models, and optimizing database performance for MDM applications. A successful data engineer on this team has experience with cloud platforms, databases, and data governance tools, and is adept at ensuring the data is accurate, accessible, and reliable to support business operations and analytics. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, visualization and analytical tools
  • Design and develop data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms
  • Data wrangling of heterogeneous data, exploration and discovery in pursuit of new business insights
  • Actively contribute to the team’s knowledge and drive new capabilities forward
  • Mentor other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets
  • Assist team management in defining projects, including helping estimate, plan and scope work
  • Prepare and contribute to presentations required by management

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related subject area or equivalent experience (Required)

Work Experience:

  • 5 years developing cloud solutions using data series; experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud) (Required)
  • Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms (Required)
  • Experience in Informatica IICS / IDMC is required.
  • Experience in SQL, NoSQL, and/or relational database design and development (Required)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in building complex data pipelines with Python, Experience in languages such as SQL, DAX Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go (Required)

The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - $137,186 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
