Role Overview: The Business Analyst/Client Engagement Manager will serve as a vital link between our clients and internal teams, ensuring that client requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented. Reporting to the Product Owner, this role will focus on gathering and prioritizing client-specific requirements, translating them into actionable plans, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in both business analysis and client engagement within a technical or software environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering: Engage with assigned clients to collect detailed requirements, understand their unique needs, and document use cases.
  • Customization Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders to balance client-specific customizations against the core product roadmap.
  • Technical Translation: Translate client requirements into actionable technical specifications for the development team, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
  • Progress Communication: Provide regular updates to clients on project progress, manage expectations, and address any concerns promptly.
  • Coordination: Work closely with the Product Manager and Technical Product Manager to align client needs with overall product goals and sprint plans.
  • Operational Integration: Coordinate with adjacent operational projects supported by the software product to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in tracking and managing requirements for SOC 2 compliance related to client engagements.
  • Proposal Contributions: Prepare technical responses to contract proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
  • System Administration: Perform basic system administration tasks such as managing account access and permissions for assigned clients.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or client engagement within a software or technical environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies; ability to work effectively with technical teams.
  • Jira Expertise: Hands-on experience using Jira for issue tracking, project management, or sprint planning is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify challenges proactively and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements is a plus but not mandatory.
