We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Aide to join our team at Aetna in Virginia Beach. As a Patient Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care, including taking vital signs, documenting demographics, insurance, medical history, medications, allergies, and test results in our electronic medical record system (EPIC)
• Perform point-of-care testing for strep, flu, COVID-19, urine pregnancy, and other tests as required
• Assist with patient registration, answer questions about MinuteClinic services, and manage patients in the waiting area
• Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including exam rooms and waiting areas
• Perform administrative tasks, such as inventory management, patient callbacks, equipment cleaning, and document management

Requirements:

• Recent healthcare experience or completion of a program such as CNA, MA, EMT, PCT, Pharmacy Technician, or Nursing Student
• Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Red Cross or designated and approved provider

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as EPIC
• High school diploma or equivalent required
