Senior Manager, Block Storage Service SRE/DevOps - Lead the Future of Cloud Infrastructure

Job Overview:

We're seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to lead our Block Storage Service SRE/DevOps team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for building and mentoring a team of talented SREs, driving automation, and ensuring the delivery of a highly available, durable, secure, and compliant storage service. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of SREs to provide best-in-class operational tooling and execution for Block Storage
• Hire and grow the SRE team to meet the evolving needs of OCI and Block Storage
• Provide vision and direction to the Block SRE team, prioritizing high-impact projects and driving results
• Own and drive critical operations, including security scanning, compliance, patching, and software deployments across all regions
• Lead the development of operational tooling for automated build-out of new regions and management of storage capacity

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in systems management
• 4+ years of experience managing SRE teams and operating a 24x7 service
• Experience developing roadmaps, prioritizing, and executing projects
• Knowledge of systems, particularly Linux and networking, with a strong plus for storage systems (block, object, and file storage)
