The University of Kansas Law School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Hourly - Fall Academic Resources Tutor to provide academic support to international students (LLM students) in a remote setting. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping LLM students navigate law school and succeed in their coursework. If you're passionate about education and enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds, this is an excellent opportunity for you!

About the Role:

• Prepare and conduct tutoring sessions with LLM students in specific law school courses (Lawyering Skills I, Contracts, and Torts)
• Provide study skills training, mentoring, and support to help LLM students achieve academic success
• Collaborate with Professor Betsy Six and the Law School team to ensure seamless delivery of academic resources

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a KU Law student in good academic standing (second or third year)
• Concurrently enrolled in the course for which you provide tutoring
• Enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours during the semester term of the appointment
• Strong academic record in law school, particularly in the course you're tutoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience living in another country or working with international students
• An interest in helping others succeed in law school
