About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Inpatient Medical Coder to review medical records, assign accurate codes, and maintain high productivity standards. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for medical terminology, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Assign and sequence codes accurately based on medical record documentation
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
• Communicate documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues to personnel
• Maintain high coding accuracy rates and productivity standards
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient coding facility experience
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an AHIMA-certified HIM or Nursing Program (optional)
• Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software (optional)
