Make a Difference in the Lives of Students with Special Needs

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Educational Assistant to support students with special needs in our inclusive and dynamic educational environment. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support, instruction, and care to students with diverse abilities, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to students in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one situations, adapting classroom work to meet individual needs
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans, developing students' daily living and behavioral skills, and providing special health care needs
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, monitoring individual students, classroom, and playground activities
• Perform record-keeping and basic clerical functions, scheduling, copying, and maintaining student files and records
• Develop materials for student IEP implementation, use progress monitoring tools, and collect student performance data

Requirements:

• Completed associate's degree or higher, or completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (72 college quarter hours or more)
• Prior job-related experience, paid or volunteer, with school-age children
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance and First Aid/CPR card and Bloodborne Pathogen training
• Knowledge of principles of child development, instructional practices, and basic clerical functions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families from diverse backgrounds
