Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Services Operations Specialist to join our team at Avantor. As a key member of our Lab and Production Services team, you will play a vital role in serving our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Key Highlights:
- Location: Northern California (non-remote position)
- Shift: First shift
- Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hr. + mileage, parking, and toll reimbursement
- Travel: Up to 25% of the time outside of California

About the Role:
In this exciting opportunity, you will report to the Operations Specialist Manager and work closely with our Lab and Production Services professionals to deliver exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing all duties associated with operations of Site Services, leading and coordinating team efforts, and interfacing directly with customers to procure lab supplies and materials.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field preferred
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, or inside sales
- Certifications: IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, IMDG, Forklift, and Hazwoper certifications a plus
- Valid Driver's License: Required, along with reliable personal transportation
